The Reports page in Subtrakr gives you a visual summary of your subscription spending and activity over time. It helps you understand your financial trends, monitor changes, and make better budgeting decisions. Reports are calculated in your current Space currency for consistent totals. At the top right corner, you can select the year you want to analyze. You can also filter reports by tags (for example, Business or Personal) or create your own custom filters to focus on specific subscription groups.

Monthly Costs

This chart shows the monthly subscription costs in the selected year. It includes all active subscriptions that had a payment during each month. How it works:
  • Monthly subscriptions are added every month based on their renewal date.
  • Quarterly and yearly subscriptions are included in the month when their next payment occurs.
  • Canceled subscriptions are no longer counted after their cancellation date.
Use it to: See how your monthly spending evolves, identify months with higher renewal activity, or track seasonality in your expenses.

Subscription Count

This chart shows the number of active subscriptions you had in each month of the selected year. How it works:
  • A subscription is counted as active if it was valid at any point during the month.
  • Canceled subscriptions stop being counted after the cancellation date.
The chart helps you track how your total number of subscriptions changes over time. Use it to: Monitor growth or reduction in your total subscriptions and detect periods where you added or removed multiple services.

Subscription Spending Over Time

This chart shows the total subscription costs over time in your Space currency. How it works:
  • The graph displays cumulative spending growth month by month.
  • If you filter by tags, only the matching subscriptions are included.
  • Canceling or deleting a subscription keeps historical data intact, so past totals remain accurate.
Use it to: Understand your long-term spending pattern and total financial commitment to recurring services.

Tag Distribution

This donut chart shows how your subscriptions are distributed across tags. How it works:
  • Each segment represents a tag and its frequency among your subscriptions.
  • Subscriptions without any tags are grouped under Untagged.
  • The chart updates when you apply filters, so you can inspect tag mix in specific subsets.
Use it to: Quickly identify your most common categories, spot missing tagging habits, and see how many subscriptions are still untagged.

Filtering Options

At the top of the Reports page, you can:
  • Select a specific year using the dropdown at the top right corner.
  • Filter reports by tags or create a custom filter for deeper insights.
  • Hover over data points in charts to view exact values and details.
Combine filters — for example, select 2025 and filter by the Business tag — to get precise insights into your company’s yearly spending. If you need to work with multiple currencies, keep one currency per Space for clean calculations and switch Spaces to compare results.
